Book published by Newmag. The cover is hard, 264 pages. The book is dedicated to the 44-day war in Artsakh (September- November 2020). The book examines the main causes, processes and consequences of the war. The subject of the examination is the complex political relations of the key players of the South Caucasus, as well as Russia and Turkey. The war in Nagorno-Karabakh was a shipwreck that changed everything for everyone, first of all for Artsakh, Armenia and Azerbaijan. The outcome of the war on land was predetermined in the air. The decisions of the leadership of Azerbaijan are explained in the book with military hindsight from the battlefield and valuable political analysis.
Ruslan Pukhov (Руслан Николаевич Пухов) is a Russian defense analyst and director of the Moscow-based Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies. In addition to his role at CAST, since 2007 Pukhov has been a member of the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Defense, composed of civilians and retired servicemen, which advises the Minister of Defense on a variety of issues. He was previously the executive director of the Russian Armorers Union, which represents Russian small arms manufacturers.
