Richard Osman (born 1970) is an English writer, television producer, presenter and director. He worked for BBC and was the writer of many shows. His debut detective book, "The Murder Club Every Thursday", sold over a million copies and became a worldwide bestseller. After the success of the first novel, Osman wrote two new crime novels which were published in 2022. All three novels made the New York Times bestseller list. Osman announced that he entrusted the film adaptation of his novels to the world-famous director Steven Spielberg, who should make a series based on them. Richard Osman is married and lives in London with his wife and cat.
