This book is about the story of the first Armenian-American relations based
on exclusive declassified documents. 1988-92 are very important years for understanding the deep
essence of the Armenian-American relations. It was during those years that American policy
toward our region was formed. The declassified documents show what fundamental interests the
United States has in the issues of Armenian-Turkish relations and the Karabakh conflict. The book presents unpublished facts, details about the "Goblet Plan", Resolution 907, George Bush's son's visit to Armenia, the negotiations conducted by Leon Ter-Petrosyan. For the first time, the secret reports of the
American diplomats sent from Yerevan to Washington and the secret instructions from
Washington are being published.
